For today's assignment, you are to create two cartoons using ToonDoo:  one related to Identity Theft and the other related to Online Safety.  At the ToonDoo site, you will need to create a new account.  Be creative and use the knowledge from last week to complete a cartoon that would be good to share with a student at the junior high.  Copy the HTML embed code and add a new post for each of your 'Toons to your personal blog.  Title your posts appropriately!

Netiquette

Are there rules that we should abide by when we're online?  But, of course!  Follow the link to read about the 10 Core Rules for Netiquette.  While reading the information, take notes in Word that includes a definition for netiquette, a summary for each rule that is given, as well as examples/explanations for the rules.  I expect that you will not plagiarize!  http://www.albion.com/netiquette/corerules.html. 

When you are finished, take the quiz to test your knowledge of netiquette:  http://www.albion.com/netiquette/netiquiz.html.  Once you have completed the quiz, take a screen shot of your results and paste the information at the bottom of your Netiquette notes.

A couple of weeks ago, we created a Voki to introduce ourself on our personal blog.  Today, I would like for you to take a look at two other avatar-making sites:  GoAnimate and Clay Yourself.  I would like for you to create an avatar at each site and, if possible, save your "creations."  Once you've visited both sites, reflect on your experiences with making all three avatars by summarizing your responses to the following questions as a post titled "Avatars" on your personal blog:

1. What is an avatar?
2. How AND why might someone use an avatar in: 1) personal life, 2) educational career, 3) business?
3. Have you used an avatar for anything prior to this class?  If so, what?
4. Of the three sites, which did you like the best?  Please explain why and give three reasons to support your response.
